Rhodochrosite with Chalcopyrite, Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Park County, Colorado...
This one is a sweetheart, small, yet very aesthetic and colorful. The main Rhodo, measuring 1.7 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm stands out against a black matrix of Chalcopyrite crystals. Well defined Golden Chalcopyrites line the opposite side adding even more contrast. There are tiny Rhodos below the main crystal as well as tiny clear Quartz crystals. All and all this piece is quite a dazzler.
