This is a beautiful piece that has graced our collection for years. Collected in Pech, Kunar in Afghanistan, it has a wondrous color when looking straight down the axis, as represented in the third photograph. It boasts a lighter lavender when looking straight across the well defined crystallization. It makes a wonderful and very showy display specimen yet for those with a different appreciation of nature it can also be cut and faceted into many stones.
The specimen is very moderately priced so this is your chance to pick up a classic mineral at a very reasonable price as we clear out some main cabinet shelf space for new pieces.
